Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs has officially closed Hajj 2026 applications after receiving 118,060 submissions under the government scheme within just 17 days.

The overwhelming public response filled the national quota earlier than in previous years, prompting authorities to stop further registrations.

Applications are accepted online and at banks on a first-come, first-served basis.

Pilgrims opted for both short and long-duration packages, with the government requiring a 50% initial deposit at the time of application. The remaining payment will be collected closer to the departure date, the next year.

Ministry officials confirmed that the selection process is now underway, and successful applicants will receive notification and further instructions in the coming weeks.

No additional applications will be considered.

Pakistan’s Hajj quota for 2026 remains unchanged at 179,210 pilgrims, with 50,000 seats allocated to private tour operators and the remainder to the government scheme.
