In an effort to alleviate the heavy crowds at Masjid al-Haram during the peak period of Ramadan, the Ministry has mandated that each visitor may perform only one Umrah during the final ten days of the holy month.
The Ministry has also urged pilgrims to diversify their worship activities by attending daily prayers in mosques throughout Mecca, rather than concentrating all acts of devotion at Masjid al-Haram. By doing so, the authorities hope to balance the distribution of worshipers across the city, which in turn will enhance the overall experience and safety for everyone.
Officials explained that this decision comes as part of a broader strategy to better manage the large influx of visitors during Ramadan.
Pilgrims and visitors are encouraged to adhere to these guidelines to help maintain the sanctity of the holy site and to ensure that everyone can worship in a safe and orderly manner during this blessed period.
