The General Authority for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has introduced a new uniform style for the cleaning personnel of Masjid al-Haram in Makkah.
The updated uniform features a cleaner, more modern design with improved fabric quality to better withstand Makkah’s high temperatures and the physically demanding work the staff performs.
The new look also ensures better visibility and uniformity, distinguishing workers more clearly among the thousands of worshipers who gather daily.
The cleaning teams at Masjid al-Haram are responsible for maintaining the hygiene and sanctity of the mosque 24/7. Their tasks include sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, and handling waste — often while navigating large crowds, especially during Hajj and Ramadan seasons.
Photos and videos of the new uniforms being worn inside the Grand Mosque have already started circulating on social media, with many users praising the professionalism and dedication of the workers.
Worshipers have welcomed the move as a sign of growing attention to both worker dignity and visitor experience.
