The Israeli state has demolished at least 73 mosques in Gaza in 51 days, while 205 other mosques are partially destroyed, Middle east monitor reported.

As per a committee formed by the PECDC (Palestinian Economic Council for Development and Construction) has stated that the damages done by Israeli strikes on tombs, charity offices, and mosques in Gaza have caused the loss of $40.4 million.

Not just the mosques, two churches in Gaza were also destroyed and left partially damaged while the gates of the ten tombs were completely destroyed.

The mosques which have been destroyed has become 75% of the total mosques in Gaza, the PECDC committee stated.

Within destroyed mosques, Israel has also destroyed a famous mosque Al-Omari Mosque located in Jabalya which was there since 649AD.

Another mosque which was built about 1,365 years ago, during the Amr Ibn Al-‘as rule was also destroyed, the name of that mosque was Manarat Al-Zaher.

It included three floors with a wider area of more than 3,000 square meters. Which can host at least 2,000 worshippers at a time.

Al-Omari Mosque was also recently hit by Israeli Strikes back in 2008 and 2009 and then renovated after receiving greater damage, but then in 2019, it was completely destroyed by further air strikes by Israel.

The report by the committee added that many of the mosques in Gaza were built thanking the citizens from the other countries to rebuild the mosques in Gaza from the given aid.

The latest attacks by Israeli air force are three times greater than the previous ones in 2008 and 2009.

Israel also turned an ancient mosque into a night club recently as China continues to bulldoze mosques in the country.
