MAKKAH – Kiswah of the Holy Kaaba will be replaced on 1st Muharram this year instead of 9th Dhul Hijjah.
Kiswah is usually replaced on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah, a ritual that has been followed for many years.
The reason for changing the dates of this ritual is still unknown.
We reached out to the administration of the Grand Mosque to know the reason, and we’re still awaiting their reply.
