What is the Kiswah?
The Kiswa is the ceremonial covering of the Kaaba, the cube-shaped structure at the center of the Masjid al-Haram in Makkah and the most sacred site in Islam. It is made from pure black silk and adorned with verses from the Holy Qur’an embroidered using threads of gold and silver.
