An Iranian woman named Bahar Mahroo recorded herself forcibly removing hijabs from Muslim women around West London and posted the videos on her social media accounts.
Using the handle @batelxx on X, she posted, “Just as you take democracy away from us in Iran and force us to wear headscarves, since we have democracy in this country, we’ll pull off those very headscarves from you.”
A review of her social media content indicates her support for the Israeli Zionist occupation.
Mahroo, an Iranian monarchist and pro-Israel activist, fled to Israel after UK police announced they were investigating her actions.
She later closed her Instagram and TikTok accounts, claiming she found the videos online. However, a reverse image search found no other sources for the video apart from her Twitter account.
Her Twitter account also shows support for far-right politicians across Europe, including well-known racists like Tommy Robinson.
Mahroo posted a video of herself boarding a flight to Tel Aviv shortly after London police announced their investigation into her videos.
