Upon his arrival at Islamabad International Airport, he was warmly received by the Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, Secretary of Religious Affairs Zulfiqar Haider, and other officials, as reported by state-run APP.
During his visit, Dr. Al-Budair is scheduled to lead the Friday prayer at Faisal Mosque in Islamabad, according to a statement from the religious affairs ministry.
In addition to his religious duties, Imam Al-Budair will meet with key government officials, including President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, and other prominent leaders. He will also engage in discussions with Pakistani religious scholars.
Federal Minister Salik expressed that this visit is expected to further strengthen the relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, enhancing religious and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
