The Saudi authorities to ensure that pilgrimage is carried out with proper crowd management and safety measures have employed 500 skilled staff members ahead of Hajj 2024.
Hajj 2024 is around the corner and to ensure the security and comfort of pilgrims during the annual pilgrimage season, the Saudi Kingdom has employed 500 skilled security staff members. The team has been trained to ensure a proper hustle-free movement of the Hajj pilgrims throughout the Holy sites.
The team will be found highly active on escalators to reduce the crowd there along with managing the pathways to avoid any incident. The members have been trained to check fire safety systems and will also look after the possessions in the mosque’s library and museum which is often visited by pilgrims.
The Saudi Arabian authorities have allowed the pilgrims to visit the historical museums where people can appreciate the religious history of the place.
Apart from on-ground operational activities, the staff will be making sure that all health guidelines are being followed by pilgrims thus enhancing the safety of other worshippers.
The annual pilgrimage is the biggest gathering that takes place in the month of Dhul Hijjah each year. Muslims from different cultures and languages arrive in Saudi Arabia to perform the obligatory pillar of Islam, the Hajj.
Languages Security Guards Can Speak
As worshippers from diverse backgrounds thus to convey the messages to them, the authorities have hired security supervisors who can speak multiple languages, including:
- Sinhalese
- Urdu
- Hausa
- Persian
- English
- Turkish
These security personnel will help and give directions to the pilgrims without any language barriers.
As the crowd is expected to increase this Hajj season, the General Authority has devised strategies to ensure the Hajj journey for each pilgrim is well organized by the implementation of crowd management and safety measures.
This huge employment step is a part of Saudi Arabia’s 2030 plan which aims to provide pilgrims with the best services during pilgrimage. The Kingdom is working hard to enhance the Hajj experience for every individual so that they can carry out the pilgrimage rituals in a safe manner.
