Sheikh Abdur Rahman Al Arifi, a prominent Saudi Arabian Islamic scholar has passed away. Following his death, rumors spread throughout the Arab world that Muhammad bin Abdur Rahman Arefi had died.
But the reality is – not Mohammed Al Arifi; rather, his father Abdur Rahman Al Arifi has died. He died at a Riyadh hospital on Thursday morning at the age of 80.
Shaykh Abdur Rahman Al Arifi is the father of a world-renowned Islamic scholar and writer of several famous books Shaykh Muhammad Ibne Abdur Rahman Al Arefi.
He was buried in Riyadh’s Arka Cemetery after his funeral prayers at Malik Al Khalid University after Asr prayer.
Sheikh Abdur Rahman Al Arefi was originally born in Dammam. They are the descendants of the famous general of Islam, Khalid Ibn Walid (Ra). Mohammed Al Arifi, the son of Shaykh Abdur Rahman Al Arefi, is famous worldwide for his eloquent speeches and sermons.
At the same time, he has written many delightful books.
The Saudi government has temporarily banned his speeches and the spread of Islam. He has been under government surveillance for several days.
