In a recent interview on Saudi TV, Waleed Abdullah, a former teammate of Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr FC, revealed insights into the global football star’s respect and curiosity about Islam.
Abdullah shared that Ronaldo not only took the time to learn about Islamic practices but also supported his Muslim teammates in observing their faith.
“I spoke to Cristiano Ronaldo about Islam,” Abdullah stated. “He learned about prayers and some of the meanings of things, and he encourages Muslim players to pray, sometimes going so far as to ask the coach to suspend exercises during the call to prayer.”
Abdullah highlighted Ronaldo’s genuine interest in understanding different cultures, emphasizing his character as both a professional and a compassionate individual. “It shows that he is interested in cultures and that he is a really good person,” he added.
