Seven Pakistani Umrah pilgrims from the same family in Buner’s Dagai Khudokhel were killed in a Saudi traffic accident.

According to the local media, the victims included four children and three adults. Five other family members suffered injuries in the crash.

The group had arrived in Saudi Arabia 11 days earlier to perform the lesser pilgrimage of Umrah. Funeral prayers for the deceased will take place in Mecca, where the bodies are being repatriated for burial.

Investigations into the Buner family’s accident are ongoing, as officials work to determine its cause and prevent future road tragedies involving pilgrims.

Emergency teams remain on high alert along pilgrimage routes to secure safe passage for all visitors.
