MOSCOW – Local police freed 600 Muslims detained at a mosque in Russia early Friday.
"All people who were detained have been freed," lawyer Mariya Krasova informed the Russian news agency TASS.
Previously, a lawyer, Lidiya Anosova, told TASS that authorities had arrested the neighborhood in Moscow's Kotelniki district.
“Approximately 600 individuals were held, according to my understanding. These individuals were apprehended in the Kotelniki mosque “According to Anasova, the prisoners were brought to the Lyubertsy Police Station.
Anasova stated that the prisoners’ names are being verified and that no charges were filed.
According to the Press Service of the Moscow Regional Administration of the country’s Interior Ministry, information regarding the arrest is still being tracked.
