How to Register at Childcare Centre in Masjid Nabawi

A new childcare centre has now opened in the courtyards of Al Masjid Al Nabawi, offering a childcare services for parents who wish to worship in peace while ensuring their children are well cared for.

How To Register? (Step-by-Setp Guide)

Here is how you can get an appointment for your child:

1. Check the Eligibility Criteria

Before registering, ensure that your child meets the following conditions:

  • Age Requirements: Boys must be between 3 and 6 years old, while girls must be between 3 and 9 years old.
  • Documentation: You will need to provide the ID, passport, or residence card of both parents and the child at the time of registration.

2. Prepare the Necessary Documents

Gather the following documents to ensure a smooth registration process:

  • ID/Passport/Residence Cards: Make sure to have copies of these documents for the father, mother, and child.
  • Child’s Photo: A clear, recent photo of your child is essential.

3. Understand the Rules and Commitments

Familiarize yourself with the rules of the childcare centre:

  • Food and Drink Restrictions: For children aged 4 years and older, bringing food and drink is prohibited unless there is a medical necessity.
  • Entry and Exit Times: Punctuality is crucial. You must adhere to the designated entry and exit times. If you are late, an additional fee will be charged for each hour or part thereof.
  • Essentials for the Baby: Ensure you bring all necessary items for your child, such as diapers, bottles, milk cartons, and extra clothing.

4. Be Mindful of Valuables

It is important to avoid bringing valuable items like jewelry, gold, or electronic devices to the childcare centre. If these items are lost or damaged, the centre will not be held responsible, and the liability will fall on the guardian.

5. Subscription Details During the Trial Opening

During the trial opening period, the first hour of care is offered free of charge. After the first hour, a fee of 30 riyals per hour or part thereof will be applied. This allows parents to try out the service and see how it fits their needs before committing to longer periods.

  • This is a step in the right direction though belated one. It is a boon to parents with small children visiting Masjide Nabawi. They can perform prayers peacefully and also there will be less distraction to others visiting the Mosque. The authorities should ensure that only genuine persons should utilise this facility. It should also be made free of charge for the first two hours. More such centres should be opened based on the response. Similar facilities should also be provided at Mecca. Hope parents will utilise this facility fully without any fear of safety of their children, as it will be in safe hands. Jazakallah for such a good thinking.
