The Adhan is more than just an announcement. The moment right after the Adhan finishes is special. It is a time when our prayers are accepted.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us a specific supplication to make in this precious window.
Dua To Recite After Hearing The Adhan
This dua is found in Sahih al-Bukhari 614.

- Transliteration: Allahumma Rabba hadhihi-dda
watit-tammah, was-salatil qa'imah, ati Muhammadan al-wasilata wal-fadilah, wa bath-hu maqaman mahmudan-il-ladhi wa`adtahu - Translation: O Allah! Lord of this perfect call and of the regular prayer which is going to be established, give Muhammad the right of intercession and illustriousness, and resurrect him to the best and the highest place in Paradise that You promised him.
How many times should you recite this dua?
- Recite this dua once every time you hear the Adhan, right after it is completed.
- It is best to say it immediately after the Muadhdin finishes the call to prayer.
Making this a habit after every Adhan is a small effort with a unimaginable reward.
It is a sunnah that takes seconds to complete but carries benefits that will last forever in the Hereafter.
