The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has appointed Sheikh Dr. Salih bin Abdullah bin Humaid to deliver the Hajj Khutbah for the year 1446 AH (2025) at Masjid Al-Namirah in Arafat.

Sheikh Salih bin Humaid, a senior member of the Council of Senior Scholars and a former Imam of the Grand Mosque in Makkah, is widely respected for his deep knowledge, wisdom, and decades of service in Islamic scholarship and judicial leadership.

The sermon, delivered annually on the Day of Arafah, is one of the most pivotal moments of Hajj, serving as a spiritual guide for millions of pilgrims gathered from across the globe.

Masjid Al-Namirah is traditionally the site where this sermon is delivered, and it holds immense religious significance as it echoes the farewell sermon of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

The Khutbah is expected to be broadcast live in multiple languages, reaching Muslims worldwide as part of the Kingdom’s broader efforts to make the spiritual experience of Hajj accessible and impactful for all.

The Day of Arafah in 2025 is expected to fall on Thursday, June 5, 2025, according to the Umm al-Qura calendar (the official Hijri calendar of Saudi Arabia). This date corresponds to 9 Dhuʻl-Hijjah 1446 AH and marks the culmination of the Hajj pilgrimage.
