A recent report by Euromonitor has placed Makkah Al-Mukarramah fifth in the world for the number of international visitors and ranked Madinah Al-Munawwarah seventh globally on the tourism performance index.
The Euromonitor report evaluates destinations across 55 indicators distributed over six key axes: economic and commercial performance, tourism performance, infrastructure, tourism-attracting policies, health and safety, and sustainability.
Madinah and Mecca, in recent years has launched a series of strategic initiatives include enhancing services for pilgrims, upgrading infrastructure, improving the quality of tourist facilities, activating historical sites, and implementing innovative programs that have significantly enriched the experience of both residents and visitors.
