The Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim) has taken this action. This service includes reporting any sort of offenses against Islam triggered through social media platforms.
To address disrespect towards Islam proper measures are being taken.
Jakim will work with the following organization to address any offense
- State Islamic Religious Departments (Jain)
- Royal Malaysia Police
- Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC)
Datuk Mohd Na’im Mokhtar introduced the service to the public. This was done on 2nd May 2024. He is the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department for Religious Affairs.
