Pakistani scholar Mufti Tariq Masood became the top trend in Pakistan as #ArrestMuftiTariqMasood after he uttered insulting words against Ali Ibn Abi Talib (RA), cousin and son-in-law of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
This isn’t the first time Mufti Tariq Masood came to the limelight for uttering such words; in the past, he has been in the hot waters because of the choice of words.
#ArrestMuftiTariqMasood has become a top trend on Twitter and Facebook, requesting authorities to arrest him just like the authorities have arrested others for blasphemy.

There have been some people on social media that are openly supporting Tariq Masood for his remarks, but the majority of the people are demanding his arrest following his words.
Pakistani authorities have yet to take action on this matter.
