The first day of the month of Ramadan 2018 will take place on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 in the following countries, United Kingdom and Turkey.

Ramadan is the sacred month of the Muslims. The month during which Muslims stop eating, drinking and having sex.

It is also the month in which people pray a lot hoping to get much closer to Allah.

Ramadan is the ninth month in the lunar year. The first day of Ramadan is just behind the 29 or 30 of Chaabane.

The date of the beginning of Ramadan changes from one year to the other of eleven days. This date also changes from one country to the other of a day depending on whether the moon can be seen that day or if there are many clouds.

The announcement of the date of Ramadan

The date of the beginning of Ramadan 2018/1439 will be 16 May 2018 (more or less a day).
