Saudi Arabia are set to witness two planets Venus and Jupiter align together in a rare conjunction in the early hours of Tuesday, August 12, 2025, as visible to the naked eye.
According to astronomical observers, the phenomenon will occur roughly two hours before sunrise, when the two brightest planets in our night sky will appear strikingly close together.
The alignment will be visible from all regions of the Kingdom, including the holy city of Makkah.
Venus and Jupiter will remain millions of kilometers apart in space, but from the ground, they will appear almost as a single bright point.
Astronomers recommend finding a location with an unobstructed eastern horizon to view the event at its best, ideally away from city light pollution.
The next comparable pairing between these two planets will not be seen from Saudi Arabia for several years.
