Sheikh Abd al-Rahman Al-Ajlaan Teacher at Masjid al-Haram For More than 35 Years, Passes Away at 85

Sheikh Abd al-Rahman Al-Ajlaan, a famous teacher and scholar of Masjid Al-Haram for more than 35 years has now passed away Friday morning aged about 85 years.

On Friday morning, May 7, 2021, the chief muezzin of the Great Mosque of Mecca, the former head of the Qassim Courts, Sheikh Abd al-Rahman al-Ajlan, passed away at the age of 85, who had devoted himself to teaching at the Grand Mosque, according to Okaz newspaper.

The voice of Sheikh Al-Ajlan echoed in the corners of the Grand Mosque as he taught Sharia sciences under the loudspeaker at the Grand Mosque daily throughout the year.

The daily lessons of Sheikh Abd al-Rahman Al-Ajlaan were attended by a huge number of students seeking to gain Islamic knowledge. These students belong to different countries around the world, who were keen to attend his daily lesson as well as he was keen to Giving his lessons and not delaying them, even as he was delivering them during the emerging Corona pandemic crisis (Covid-19) remotely.

He prayed for the deceased after Friday prayers today and was buried in Sharia’s cemetery of the Haram martyrs.

Sheikh was born in the Qassim region of Saudi Arabia in 1357 AH and got his education in the Quran from the Qassim region. He joined the Faisaliah School in Buraidah, and graduated from it in 1371 AH, then joined the Buraidah Scientific Institute and the College of Sharia at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, and in 1386 AH, he joined the Higher Judicial Institute at The beginning of his opening, he graduated from it.

He was appointed to the judiciary, but he requested a referral to retirement and devoted himself to teaching forensic sciences under the magnification of the Grand Mosque for more than 31 years.

May Allah grand him the highest place in Jannah. Muslims prayed for his forgiveness worldwide.
