The scooter service previously offered at the Holy Mosque has been discontinued and replaced by a more convenient buggy service.
Effective immediately, pilgrims can now find buggy counters by following signboards from Ajyad Bridge, in front of WC3, at the same location where scooters were previously available.
The new buggy service offers an easier and more comfortable way for elderly, handicapped individuals, or those with mobility issues to perform their rituals.
Each buggy accommodates up to eight people and includes a driver, allowing pilgrims to focus entirely on their spiritual journey without the need to navigate themselves.
The pricing for the buggy service at Masjid al Haram is as follows:
Timings:
- 24 Hours a day, 7 days a week
This initiative aims to provide greater convenience and accessibility, ensuring that every pilgrim can perform their rituals with ease and comfort.

This is really a good news for old and differently abled persons who wish to perform Umra with ease. The cost seems to be on the high side. Either it should be free or at 50 Riyals for whole Umra. Hope this will be favourably considered by the authorities soon. Allah will reward them for this kind gesture. It should not be commercialised.
