A major Saudi food supplier has inked a $12 million agreement with an Indonesian producer to provide ready-to-eat meals for Hajj pilgrims in 2026.
Saudi Arabia’s 4J Company Limited and Indonesia’s PT Halalan Thayyiban have a deal that provides top-quality halal meals for Hajj pilgrims.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed on August 23, 2025, in Jeddah, with facilitation by the Indonesian Trade Promotion Center (ITPC).
Indonesian Trade Minister Budi Santoso described the agreement as a “strategic move” to strengthen bilateral trade while supporting Indonesia’s export growth.
Fajarini Puntodewi, Director General of National Export Development, emphasized that the collaboration could open doors for more Indonesian products—beyond food and beverages—to enter the Saudi market.
The meals will be produced in accordance with strict halal standards and designed for convenience and nutritional balance, addressing the unique needs of pilgrims during the demanding days of Hajj.
