The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced the start of visa issuance for the 2026 Hajj season on Sunday, February 8, 2026 (20 Sha’ban 1447 AH).
The launch, approximately four months ahead of the Hajj pilgrimage, is part of an accelerated timeline designed to enhance operational readiness.
The ministry confirmed that all service contracts for international pilgrims at the holy sites and all accommodation contracts in Makkah have been finalized via the Nusuk platform.
To date, 750,000 pilgrims have registered, with packages already secured for 30,000 pilgrims directly from their home countries.
Preparations on the ground are also advancing. Authorities have allocated approximately 485 camps for international pilgrims in Mina and Arafat, and 73 Hajj affairs offices have completed their primary contractual arrangements.
The Ministry stated that coordination is ongoing with service providers and Hajj offices both inside and outside the Kingdom.
