As more than 5,000 firefighters battled the blazes for the 11th consecutive day, the rain brought relief to some areas of Turkey.
In southwest Antalya, after heavy rains, authorities were able to control the fires.
The provincial capital Mugla, in the neighboring Mugla province, was battling the fires.
Three neighborhoods near Mugla city were evacuated after five areas burned.
Over 200 fires have been reported in 47 of Turkey’s 81 provinces, Agriculture Minister Bekir Pakdemirli said on Twitter Saturday.
Many animals have also been killed in the fires. At least eight people have been killed. Aid workers rescued one tortoise from Mugla, however, which was not injured.
