Since early 2024, over 19 million worshipers have performed prayers at Madinah’s Quba Mosque, according to data from the Madinah Development Authority.
Visitors enjoy a well-coordinated range of services designed to enhance their spiritual experience, including 14,000 square meters of carefully landscaped and accessible courtyards.
Transportation for the elderly and those with disabilities is provided around the clock by six dedicated vehicles.
The mosque and its surrounding areas are equipped with 8,000 square meters of new carpeting, with a storage capacity for 98,000 liters of Zamzam water. Upgrades also include 1,500 lighting units to enhance visual aesthetics.
Quba Mosque is undergoing a historic expansion led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
This development represents the largest expansion since the mosque’s founding, dating back to the first year of Hijra.
Once completed, the mosque will cover an area of 50,000 square meters, accommodating around 66,000 worshipers—ten times its current capacity.
