The deadly coronavirus disease has claimed one more life, this time it is Dr. Usama Riaz who died treating coronavirus patients.

The Pakistani Muslim doctor lost his life after contracting coronavirus from coronavirus patients in Gilgil-Baltistan which is on the Pakistani Iranian border.

Dr. Usama Riaz spent the last weeks of his life treating and screening coronavirus patients in Pakistan. He admitted before his death that he felt no symptoms even after being tested with the Covid-19.

His story of treating many patients infected with Coronavirus has inspired many people all around the world. Many people calling his death “Martyrdom”.

Pakistani media reported that Dr. Usman Riaz is the first case of local transmission of the virus, which he contracted during the screening of the Patients that were coming to Pakistan from Iran.

Alice Wells, who is the Deputy Assistant strategy of State for South and Central Asian Affairs for the US, on Tuesday has tweeted her condoles on the passing of the Muslim doctor.

Famous Islamic Scholar Omar Sulaiman also expressed his grief over his death.

Coronavirus has infected more than 600,000 people all around the world. This disease was started in China and was declared as Pandemic by WHO in March.
