Saudi authorities distribute free safety bracelets inside Mecca’s Grand Mosque for children and elderly visitors.
Staff provide them 24/7 at these exact locations:
- King Abdulaziz Gate 1
- King Fahd Gate 79
Wristbands will ensure the safety of children and elderly in the Grand Mosque, make them easily trackable, dropped the incidents of missing children to nearly zero.
The wristbands will include the contact information so that any lost child will be reunited quickly with the families.
Each bracelet contains a unique RFID ID. If a person gets separated in crowds, security scans the ID to locate them quickly. No registration or apps required.
Elderly visitors with mobility concerns receive immediate priority.
Authorities state the system has reduced lost-person reports during peak periods. The wristbands remain active throughout a visitor’s stay and are deactivated upon exit. No costs apply. No personal data is stored.
