Hajj Pilgrims To Get Free Umbrellas Upon Visiting Masjid an-Nabawi

To keep the Hajj pilgrims safe from the intense heat of the sun, the Saudi authorities will provide free umbrellas at the entrance of Masjid an-Nabawi.

The Madinah Municipality has launched an initiative to distribute umbrellas to protect pilgrims and visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque from the sun’s harmful exposure. The initiative, which began yesterday, involves over 150 male and female volunteers working in the central region.

This effort is part of the effective volunteering program designed to cultivate the entrepreneurial spirit among volunteer teams, training them in professional ways to serve the guests of God.

The Madinah Municipality is leveraging its human and automated resources, deploying a total of 8,267 participants equipped with more than 800 machines and equipment. These efforts span across five affiliated municipalities, ensuring comprehensive coverage.

Additionally, the municipality is utilizing nine electronic platforms to provide round-the-clock service to pilgrims in the central region and historical Islamic sites. These platforms ensure the quality of food, reduce waste, combat public health pests, and support various other tasks.

The operations are managed under the supervision of the municipal operations center, which acts as an integrated link between the municipality’s components and development partners in the region.

This initiative underscores the Madinah Municipality’s commitment to enhancing the experience of pilgrims and visitors, ensuring their comfort and well-being through innovative and practical solutions.
