Dubai’s Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department has teamed up with Parkin to provide 2,100 complimentary parking spaces at 59 mosque locations across the city.
Starting in August 2025, anyone attending prayers will be able to park free of charge for up to one hour during each prescribed prayer time.
Free Parking at 59 Mosques
Under the agreement, Parkin will manage the designated bays, ensuring spaces remain available when worshipers arrive for Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha.
- Of 59 sites, 41 will be in zone M and 18 in zone MP.
The is to relieve traffic congestion around busy mosques—particularly during Friday prayers—and to support timely attendance without the stress of finding paid parking.
“This partnership shows our community commitment,” a Department of Islamic Affairs spokesperson stated. “By removing parking barriers, we help people focus on their worship and strengthen social bonds.”
Parkin officials added that digital way finding will guide drivers to the nearest available spot, and real-time updates will be accessible via the Parkin app.
Enforcement teams will monitor the areas to ensure fair use, and any overstays will revert to standard paid rates.
Future phases may expand the program to additional mosques based on demand and feedback. The August rollout now offers smoother, more welcoming experiences for Dubai’s worshipers.
