Over 70,000 liters of disinfectant are being used daily to clean Masjid al Haram in Ramadan 2021.

Authorities of Saudi Arabia have imposed strict measures to prevent Coronavirus from the spread in the holy site. People who are performing Umrah are required to get a vaccination and must socially distance themselves as well wear masks. The authorities have also set up sanitization stations around the grand mosque.

Totalling a number of 1,500 liters of sanitizing perfumes are also sprayed in the Masjid al-Haram as the mosque is being washed 10 times a day.

4,000 hygine workers and 750 guide are working 24/7 to ensure the cleaning process at the grand mosque.
