The General Authority for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, led by CEO Eng. Ghazi Al-Shahrani, has announced that more than 122 million visitors gathered at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah during Ramadan.
According to detailed statistics shared by Al-Shahrani, 16,558,241 pilgrims performed Umrah, while 92,132,169 worshipers attended prayers at the Grand Mosque and 30,154,543 at the Prophet’s Mosque.
In a recent statement, Eng. Ghazi Al-Shahrani extended warm Eid al-Fitr greetings to King Salman, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Prime Minister. He praised the unwavering support of the Kingdom’s leadership in accommodating the ever-growing number of pilgrims and ensuring that operations ran seamlessly throughout the holy month.
Al-Shahrani also expressed his gratitude to the many individuals involved in facilitating the pilgrimage experience—from administrative staff to volunteers—emphasizing their vital role in preserving the spiritual significance of the holy sites.
He concluded his remarks with a prayer, hoping that the contributions of all those who worked to make the pilgrimage successful would be divinely recognized.
