Last year, the Turkish NGO IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation donated 21,000 manuscripts of the Holy Quran to seven African countries. The company said in a statement on Saturday.
In a statement, IHH said that in the absence of a printed Qur’an, students in many provinces of Africa began to write verses on planks or wood. For this reason, in the last 2021, at least 21 thousand Qur’anic gifts have been given in seven provinces of Africa.
The countries in which the Qur’an has been gifted are 13,500 copies in Guinea and Mali, 2900 copies in Shad, 2,000 copies in Ghana, 2,000 copies in Niger and Sudan, and 600 copies in Sierra Leone.
The IHH also said that they have so far donated at least 263,000 copies of the Qur’an to the world.
