An Indonesian pilgrim in her thirties has made a full recovery after undergoing an urgent and complex brain surgery at King Fahd Hospital in Madinah.
The woman was rushed to the hospital after suffering from severe headaches and repeated vomiting—symptoms that pointed to elevated intracranial pressure.
Upon arrival, a specialized neurosurgery team at the facility quickly launched a thorough medical investigation.
According to the Madinah Health Cluster, the results of MRI and CT scans revealed a tumor on the right side of her brain. The scans also showed infiltration into nearby brain cells and signs of intense pressure on surrounding areas, demanding immediate medical intervention.
The medical team made the decision to carry out an emergency microscopic surgery to remove the tumor. The procedure was successful, and the tumor was entirely extracted with precision.
Doctors reported that the operation was completed without complications, and the patient began showing rapid neurological improvement shortly afterward.
This surgery was conducted under the neurosurgery track of the Saudi healthcare model, which ensures swift diagnosis and treatment for critical cases in accordance with structured medical protocols.
These protocols are designed to support the well-being of pilgrims during the sacred Hajj season.
