To ensure the safety of pilgrims for Hajj 1446 AH, the Saudi Ministry of Health has announced that its emergency health assistance line will offer support in seven international languages.
Pilgrims from across the globe will be able to access medical advice, urgent health assistance, and general health inquiries in the following languages:
- Arabic
- English
- French
- Urdu
- Indonesian
- Farsi (Persian)
- Turkish
This multilingual support will serve the diverse linguistic backgrounds of pilgrims who travel from over 180 countries each year to perform the sacred pilgrimage.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Health stated,
“The 937 service will continue to operate around the clock during Hajj, providing immediate health consultations and directing pilgrims to the nearest health facility if required. Language should never be a barrier to receiving care.”
The multilingual support staff is trained to handle both minor inquiries and urgent cases with cultural sensitivity and professionalism.
With millions expected to gather in the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah, the availability of 24/7 medical support in widely spoken languages is part of a broader healthcare plan that includes hospitals, clinics, mobile units, and field teams strategically positioned across the holy sites.
This year, Hajj will officially begin on 8 Dhul-Hijjah 1446 AH, corresponding to June 4, 2025, with Arafat Day falling on June 5, and Eid al-Adha on June 6.
As the temperatures rise and crowds intensify, authorities emphasize the importance of proactive health support and clear communication with international pilgrims.
Pilgrims are encouraged to save the 937 hotline number in their phones and to not hesitate in seeking medical advice should they feel unwell or require guidance at any point during their pilgrimage.
