Muslim Man Set On Fire In Canada

An attack in Surrey, British Columbia, has left a man of Pakistani descent severely injured.

Rahat Rao, a well-known member of the local Canadian-Pakistani community, was set on fire at his store and is now in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

Rahat Rao owns and runs a currency exchange business in the Surrey Central area in Canada.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) reported that the attacker poured a flammable liquid on Rao before setting him on fire and fleeing the scene.

A witness told Canadian news outlet Global News that she was inside the store when she saw a man engulfed in flames running and screaming from the back.

She learned from a relative of the shop owner that the incident occurred during a robbery attempt.

The police have released an image of the suspect, believed to be around 25 years old, along with a photo of his white Mini Cooper.

The concerns regarding the connection between the murder of Sikh activist Hardeep Singh Nijjar and Rahat Rao’s attack is growing as authorities are thinking that the attacks are linked. Because Rao also participated in the protest in favor of Nijjar when he was killed.

The RCMP had previously advised Rao to enhance his security measures due to concerns about his safety.

  • I am 100% sure that there must be south indian hindu involved in it, my neighbour is hindu and she always discriminates against Pakistani Muslims and Chinese and said " Our both enemies Pakistani and Chinese lived beside our house on both sides" also passed remarks that we don't help Pakistani people as they killed our people in the army, not only that her friend who runs Toyota car showroom in Mississauga said "If you don't speak Punjabi than we can't help you" when we were looking to buy a new car at that time.
As we know there were discriminatory remarks passed by one indian and he was terminated from his job in Mississauga, Canada is now full of a lot of extremist hindu, who openly discriminate against Muslims and Chinese even Christians. Canada is full of this kind of people who make this country look bad and sometimes we feel very insecure living among them.
