MAKKAH – According to the Makkah Mayoralty’s Pilgrims’ Housing Committee, citizens have begun requesting residential units to be rented out for Hajj pilgrimages.

According to the committee, all property owners who wish to rent out their residential units for pilgrims’ accommodation should contact the designated engineering offices immediately to complete the authorization process.

According to the mayoralty, citizen applications will continue to be received during the coming months.

In order to verify that the pilgrims’ housing units meet the terms and conditions stipulated in the regulations, there are several engineering consulting offices accredited by the mayoralty and the Civil Defense. In accordance with these regulations, the mayoralty and the Civil Defense issue fitness certificates.

The Pilgrims’ Housing Committee will issue a permit based on this information,” it stated.

To facilitate the issuance of permits for using their housing units to accommodate pilgrims, the committee urged citizens to contact them to know about the specified terms and conditions.

In accordance with the construction and safety requirements regulations, the mayoralty called on all building owners wishing to rent their properties to ensure that they meet all the requirements and safety and security requirements.
