MAKKAH – In a heart-wrenching incident, 20 Umrah pilgrims died in a bus accident en route to Makkah Al Mukkaramah from Al Asir Governorate. The accident occurred when the bus carrying the pilgrims crashed, resulting in the tragic loss of life.
More than 30 have been reported injured.
The pilgrims were on their way to perform Umrah, a sacred journey Muslims undertake to the holy city of Makkah. The incident has left the entire community in shock and mourning.
The authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident. Preliminary reports suggest that the driver may have lost control of the bus, resulting in the crash.
As news of the tragedy spread, condolences and prayers poured in nationwide. Many expressed their grief and shared their thoughts and prayers for the families of the deceased.
The incident serves as a reminder of the risks associated with travel, particularly during the holy pilgrimage season. It also highlights the importance of ensuring the safety of all pilgrims during their journey.
