American fast food chain Taco Bell was founded in 1962 by Glen Bell in Irvine, California. Taco Bell is owned and operated by Yum! Brands, Inc. Tacos, burritos, quesadillas, nachos, novelty and specialty items, and a “value menu” are served at the restaurants.

Over 93 percent of Taco Bell’s 7,072 restaurants are owned and operated by independent franchisees and licensees as of 2018. After purchasing Taco Bell in 1978, PepsiCo spun off its restaurant division as Tricon Global Restaurants, which later changed its name to Yum! Brands.

In 1948, Glen Bell founded Taco Bell after opening a hot dog stand called Bell’s Drive-In in San Bernardino, California.

Taco bell in other countries such as Australia doesn’t serve halal food. But, If you’re visiting the middle east, such as United Arab Emirates (UAE), you are free to eat anything as they are obliged to serve Halal food in Muslim majority countries.

So, any eatery in the Middle East will be halal.
