Umrah pilgrims arriving in the Kingdom have been advised to carry umbrellas and avoid sightseeing and travel during thunderstorms. Those caught in severe weather are urged to seek shelter in safe places.
The National Center of Meteorology has predicted moderate to heavy rainfall on Monday, accompanied by strong winds, hail, and thunderstorms in the areas of Madinah, Makkah, Jeddah, Baha, and Najran.
The General Directorate of Civil Defense also issued weather warnings and safety instructions in preparation for the heavy rainfall expected in the coming days.
The Civil Defense announced that most parts of the Kingdom will experience moderate-to-heavy thundershowers and strong winds until Friday.
Regions likely to be affected include Asir, Baha, Makkah, Madinah, Jazan, Qassim, Jouf, Hail, Tabuk, Northern Borders, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province.

Schools in the Jeddah, Makkah, and Madinah regions have switched to online classes via the Madrasati remote-learning platform starting Monday, in response to the warnings of storms and potential floods.
