In response to the Saudi Arabian government’s directives, mosques in the country are not allowed to use external loudspeakers.
Dr. Abdul Latif Bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh is the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call, and Guidance and has set the number of external loudspeakers to be used to make the call for prayer (adhan) in mosques to be four.
According to Dr. Al-Sheikh, all mosques with more than four external loudspeakers need to remove the extra ones from their premises and store them in a warehouse in case they are required in the future or to distribute them to mosques that are in need of them.
There was a launch ceremony at the ministry branch in Al-Qassim, where the volunteer initiatives exhibition was launched, which included a number of pavilions for the administration of mosques, da’wah, and guidance throughout the nine governorates.
As part of the Expo, the current and upcoming volunteer departments will showcase their highlights, programs, and initiatives to the public.
