King Salman To Host 1,000 Family Members of Palestinian Martyrs for Hajj

The initiative to sponsor a certain count of individuals for Hajj by the Saudi Authorities is a part of the Guests Program for Hajj and Umrah by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

As the Hajj season approaches the King of Saudi Arabia, King Salman has sent invitations to 2,322 individuals to attend Hajj 2024.

Among this count, around 1000 invitations have been sent to the relatives of individuals who have been affected due to the Palestinian conflict in Gaza and Rafah.

Reports received from the Saudi Press Agency indicate the arrival of 22 relatives of the separated conjoined twins for the annual pilgrimage this year.

The invitations have been dispatched to more than 88 countries from where a total of 1300 individuals have been called upon by the King to perform Hajj.

Supervised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, this act of hospitality is a part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program for Umrah and Hajj.

This program was launched 26 years ago and up to this date it has successfully welcomed over 60,000 pilgrims.

This gesture is an act to promote brotherhood and unity in the Muslim community by sponsoring their Hajj expenses.

The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh expressed his positive feedback on the initiative and stated that this program highlights the kingdom’s commitment to the Muslim community worldwide.

Discussing further regarding the invitation and the welcome of these guests, he informed the reporters that the arrangements for accommodation and other important things are underway.

Detailed Strategic plans have been developed to ensure the guests have an enriching experience.
