Jeddah, Saudi Arabia: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced the beginning of Hajj registration for international pilgrims.
According to the ministry, pilgrims from Europe, the Americas, and Australia can book their Hajj packages only through Nusuk, the original web platform.
The registration period began on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, and will end when the deadline is reached.
The Hajj is one of the world’s largest yearly gatherings of Muslims who come to perform the pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia’s holy city of Mecca. The journey is one of Islam’s five pillars and is mandatory for already and willing Muslims who can afford it.
Despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has taken several steps to ensure that the pilgrimage is conducted safely and effectively. The ministry has emphasized that all international pilgrims must use the Nusuk platform to book their packages and complete the registration form.
The Nusuk platform offers various services to pilgrims, including info on visa requirements, travel packages, and other vital details. The platform is intended to make booking a Hajj package easier and much more accessible to pilgrims.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has emphasized that almost all international pilgrims must follow the COVID-19 safety protocols, which include routine testing, mask wear, and socioeconomic distancing guidelines.
