Over 281 million worshipers visited the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina during the lunar Hijri calendar year of 1445 from July 2023 to July 2024, according to the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques.
This figure reflects an increase of 25 million visitors compared to the previous year. Approximately 11 million men and women prayed at Al Rawda Al Sharifa, the sacred area within the mosque where the tomb of Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him) is located.
The presidency also reported that 9 prayer leaders and 20 muezzins served at the mosque during this period, with 52 sermons translated into 10 languages.
Additionally, the mosque hosted 2,500 Quranic circles, attracting around 50,000 participants. Over one million copies of the Holy Quran were distributed to worshipers and pilgrims.
