10,000 Riyals Fine On Entering Makkah Without Hajj Permit From June 2-20

  • Severe consequences for individuals who break the Hajj 2024 rules.
  • Individuals involved in illegal activities will be deported immediately to their home country.
  • Hajj is expected to begin on 14th June 2024.

    A fine of 10,000 Saudi Riyals for violation of Hajj rules will be charged. This imposition has been announced by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the year 1445 AH-2024.

    Individuals who are found violating the regulations will be fined immediately. The restrictions will be effective from 2nd June to 20th June.

    The fine applies to everyone who acts against the rule within a specified boundary. This includes visitors, citizens, and even residents, as per the statement confirmed by The Saudi Ministry of Interior (Mol).

    Regulation breakers will face severe consequences, banning entry to the country. Moreover, they will immediately be deported to their home place.

    • Makkah
    • The central region
    • The Holy Sites
    • The Haramain train station in Rusayfah
    • Security control centres
    • Sorting centres
    • Temporary security control centers.

    The rules and regulations of Hajj have been recently announce, primarily focusing on the safety of pilgrims. Since the laws are getting stricter, it ensures better security and safety measures for the pilgrims. The implications of rules are a serious matter thus offenders will face a double fine of 10,000 Saudi Riyals.

    As per the Saudi Press Agency transporting, Individuals who lack the Hajj permit and are not complying with the regulations is a violation, These violations will not be taken lightly. Penalties for this include imprisonment for up to six months. Moreover, the guilty ones are fined up to 50,000 Saudi Riyals.

    The judicial authorities can take action to confiscate the vehicles used for such transportation, moreover, the authorities can ban entry for those individuals from the country as well and financial penalties can be increased with each instance of violation.

    The process to issue a Hajj visa was initiated on 1st March, with the deadline of 29th April. The first group of Hajj pilgrims from Pakistan and India will arrive on 9th May 2024.

    The Hajj 2024 will take place on 14th June but the exact date can change depending on the moon sighting, which will be confirmed by the moon sighting committee of Saudi Arabia.
