Makkah Prayer Times (مكة المكرمة) — Tuesday, November 3, 2026

Today's Fajr prayer time in Makkah begins at 05:06 AM at the break of dawn. Fajr corresponds to true dawn (Subh Sadiq) calculated at an 18.5° solar depression angle under the Umm al-Qura calendar. This timing also marks the commencement of fasting (Imsak) during Ramadan and voluntary fast days.

Today's Maghrib prayer and Iftar time in Makkah begins at 05:45 PM upon astronomical sunset, when the upper limb of the sun dips completely below the western horizon. In Islamic practice, Muslims break their daily fast immediately with the Maghrib Adhan.

Dhuhr prayer in Makkah begins at 12:08 PM shortly after the sun passes its celestial zenith (Zawal), incorporating an official 3-minute safety interval. On Fridays, the communal Jumu'ah prayer and sermon (Khutbah) take place at this same time across local mosques.

Under the standard majority juristic opinion (Shafi'i, Maliki, and Hanbali followed in Saudi Arabia), Asr begins at 03:21 PM when the shadow of an object equals its original height (1x shadow ratio). In the Hanafi school of jurisprudence, Asr starts later when the shadow equals twice the object's height (2x shadow ratio).

Tonight's Isha prayer in Makkah begins at 07:15 PM. In Saudi Arabia, the Umm al-Qura calendar designates Isha at exactly 90 minutes after Maghrib sunset throughout the regular year, extending to 120 minutes during the blessed month of Ramadan.

In Makkah, Islamic Midnight is at 11:26 PM (the exact mathematical midpoint between Maghrib sunset and Fajr dawn, signifying the close of the preferred Isha period). The Last Third of the Night (the optimal spiritual window for Tahajjud and Qiyam al-Layl) begins at 01:19 AM.

The official calculation method in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the Umm al-Qura University (Makkah) calendar, operating strictly in the Asia/Riyadh timezone (UTC+3). It computes Fajr at an 18.5° solar depression angle and Isha 90 minutes after Maghrib (120 minutes in Ramadan).

The geographic coordinates for Makkah are latitude 21.4225° N and longitude 39.8262° E. The Qibla direction points directly toward the Holy Kaaba in Masjid al-Haram, Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

Under regulations issued by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in Saudi Arabia, mosques generally observe a 20-minute interval between the Adhan and Iqamah for Fajr, Dhuhr, and Asr, a 10-minute interval for Maghrib, and 20 to 25 minutes for Isha, allowing worshippers adequate time to make ablution (Wudu) and arrive at the mosque.
