- Both the groom and the bride should agree to the marriage. (Quran 4:19)

- Dowry is not allowed! Dowry such as Cars, Furniture, Air Conditions, and other luxuries are not permissible. (Mishkat al-Masabih 3097)
- Marrying a non-Muslim is not allowed for both Men and Women. (Quran 2:221)
- A man should be well enough to provide his wife with a separate providing home, food, and clothing. (Quran 4:34)
- Valima is a sunnah. (Sunan Abi Dawud 3744)
- A man can only marry up to 4 if he is confident that he can treat all his wives equally. (Quran 4:3)
