Indian opposition leader Rahul Gandhi invoked the Quran and paid respects to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) during a speech in the Lok Sabha, advocating for non-violence and peace.

Speaking on the principles of non-violence and the need to overcome fear, Gandhi stated, “All great figures have spoken about non-violence and eradicating fear. We should not be afraid.”

Gandhi criticized the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Hindu extremist groups, accusing them of spreading hatred, fear, and violence. “BJP leaders claim to be Hindu, yet they propagate hate and violence. They are not true Hindus,” he asserted.

During his speech, BJP members created a commotion, accusing Gandhi of blaming the entire Hindu community for violence. BJP leaders demanded an apology from Gandhi for his remarks.
