As the Hajj 2025 (1446 AH) season approaches, Saudi health authorities have reiterated that the **meningococcal and seasonal influenza vaccines** are **mandatory** for all incoming pilgrims.

Pilgrims are required to receive both vaccines **at least 10 days before their flight** to the Kingdom.

Health experts, however, strongly recommend getting vaccinated **15 days in advance** to allow the body sufficient time to build immunity and to avoid any last-minute travel disruptions due to incomplete health documentation.

For elderly pilgrims, especially those aged **65 and above**, the **pneumococcal vaccine** is highly advised to prevent serious respiratory infections during the strenuous days of Hajj.

Additionally, **two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine** are required. Those who have already been vaccinated should carry a valid vaccination certificate as proof.

Travelers are urged to consult their local health authorities or Hajj travel agencies to ensure they meet all medical requirements.

Official vaccination certificates may be requested upon arrival in Saudi Arabia and at various checkpoints during the pilgrimage.
